Our Story Unfolds
Who We Are?
We are Shanaya and Dara Sethi. The Adventures of Lily and Drake is the first book in the series of the same name.
How did it all start?
This book started when Dara got a book called, “How to make a book”. We named the characters, Drake, like the frog from Cat Kid Comic Club (by Dav Pilkey), and Lily because frogs like to sit on lily pads. Some other things that inspired us for this story are aspects of our lives - Dara likes soccer and Shanaya really wants a lookalike doll, our father’s stories, and Dog Man books by Dav Pilkey.
